Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, Baltimore, Maryland, is awarded a $21,567,760 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-2300 to exercise an option for industrial post-delivery availability support for the Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ship USS Nantucket (LCS 27). Work will be performed in Marinette, Wisconsin, and is expected to be completed by August 2023. Fiscal 2022 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Fue entregado en agosto del año pasado, por lo que esta modificación del contrato es para cubrir el primer año.

Fresco del dia al respecto de los LCS. Estos no se pueden arreglar básicamente. Pueden durar un par de años y al desguace.
