La navy ha publicado pocos detalles sobre el incidente, pero dice que todo el personal involucrado, incluido el piloto, se encuentra en condición estable. El daño al portaaviones fue mínimo y que las operaciones de vuelo se han reanudado. La USN dará alta prioridad a la recuperación del avión, para que no caiga en manos de China o Rusia.

Y el periódico Global Times de Beijing, no pudo resistir la tentación de regodearse con el accidente. Dijo que el accidente “expuso el agotamiento del ejército estadounidense, que ha estado haciendo alarde de su destreza contra China a costa de la salud física y mental de sus tropas y altos riesgos técnicos”.

The work to be performed provides for MCHH radios, MCHH-vehicle installation kits (VIKs) and MCHH accessories. The MCHH-VIK consists of the amplifier, antennas, and mounts necessary to integrate the MCHH into a High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle. The MCHH will replace legacy handheld systems that do not meet the National Security Agency 2024 cryptographic modernization mandate.
