Today Bundestag approved procurement of 110 #Eurofighter #ESCAN radars for @team_luftwaffe.
Decision secures capability growth of the fleet, increases mission effectiveness and ensures robust integration of Eurofighter into #FCAS environment
E-Scan #AESA radar for #Luftwaffe Tranche 2 (79 jets) and Tranche 3 (31 jets) now approved. Beyond these, another potential 93 systems with Project Quadriga (38) and Tornado replacement (55) #Eurofighter procurements...
As a measure of how important the E-Scan is to the Luftwaffe, at the @DefenceIQ Fighter conference last year a top service official noted; "I only want two things from these [Project Quadriga] aircraft: that they have an AESA and that they be ready by 2024."
