Sobre su colocación (la USNavy ya no contempla los CFT y el depósito ventral es también el IRST):
"Northrop Grumman intends to have LITENING certified to be fixed to either Station 6 located on the Super Hornet’s centerline or Station 5, which would fit the ATP to the jet’s left cheek adjacent to the intake where the ATFLIR is currently located when loaded. This is important as the Super Hornet's centerline station is prized real estate, especially now that conformal fuel tanks are no longer in the works for Navy Super Hornets and seeing as the type's IRST-fuel tank combo has to be positioned there when fitted."

The Indian government has officially approved the Tejas Mk 2 fighter aircraft. The project has been sanctioned with INR66.17 billion (USD827 million) in funding.
The government's Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the project for development, flight-testing, and certification on 1 September. The Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari told local media later that same day that the project will help reverse the Indian Air Force's (IAF's) declining squadron strength.
“The development of this indigenous aircraft is much needed. It will benefit the domestic aircraft manufacturing,” ACM Chaudhari said. “The number of squadrons in the Indian Air Force is declining - so therefore this project is necessary to fill a critical capability void.”
In July 2022 ACM Chaudhari said that the IAF would seek to equip six squadrons with the Mk 2. The IAF told Janes that it would like to induct the Mk 2s as soon as possible.

BAE Systems has received a $13 million contract for advanced GPS technology to protect U.S. F-15E aircraft from GPS signal jamming and spoofing. The company’s Digital GPS Anti-jam Receiver (DIGAR) will ensure the reliability of military GPS systems for aircraft operating in challenging signal environments.
DIGAR uses advanced antenna electronics, high-performance signal-processing, and digital beamforming – a capability that combines 16 steered beams – for better GPS signal reception and superior jamming immunity. These capabilities are critical for high-speed aircraft as they maneuver through the battlespace. The F-15 is the second U.S. Air Force fighter platform to receive DIGAR GPS upgrades, following the F-16.

Polonia firma los 48 FA-50 surcoreanos citados en julio:

Poland has signed for Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) FA-50 Fighting Eagle aircraft to supplement its existing combat aviation forces.

Signed on 16 September, the deal comes after Poland approved the plan in July as part of a wider bilateral defence procurement agreement with South Korea.

The first 12 FA-50 aircraft, to be designated FA-50PL in Polish service, will be delivered in mid-2023, with the remainder to follow according to an undisclosed timeline. Once in service, the 48 FA-50PLs will augment the Polish Air Force's existing 48 F-16C/D Block 50+.

With the FA-50PLs augmenting the F-16s, the service's 21 MiG-29 and nearly 30 Su-22 Warsaw Pact-era aircraft are scheduled to be replaced by 32 F-35A under Poland's Harpia programme.
Separately, they has also touted the possibility of acquiring other advanced Western combat aircraft types, such as the F-15 and the KF-21 Boramae.

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has disclosed plans to develop a carrierborne version of its KF-21 fighter aircraft. A model of the KF-21N was unveiled at the DX Korea 2022 exhibition, being held in Goyang from 21 to 25 September.

Bulgaria has approved funding for additional F-16 aircraft that were cleared for sale by the United States earlier in 2022.
Bulgarian Defence Minister announced on 21 September that a total of USD1.3 billion is to be spent on the eight additional F-16C/D Block 70 aircraft to bring the Bulgarian Air Force's (BuAF's) proposed fleet up to 16. It is expected that the planes will arrive in 2027
