Por el momento la Administración Obama no quiere involucrarse mas en el Yemen de lo que esta. Habrá que ver cuanto aguantan la presión hasta que decidan retaliar, especialmente contra los radares costeros que los tienen en la mira.
Navy launches Tomahawk missiles at rebel sites in Yemen after attacks on U.S. ships

The U.S. Navy launched Tomahawk missiles early Thursday from the Red Sea at three coastal radar sites in Yemen, destroying targets associated with missile attacks on U.S. ships this week.
The Tomahawks were launched from the destroyer USS Nitze at about 4 a.m. at three locations in territory held by Houthi rebels north of the Bab el-Mandeb strait, Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook said. President Obama authorized the strikes upon the recommendations of Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Marine Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“These limited self-defense strikes were conducted to protect our personnel, our ships, and our freedom of navigation in this important maritime passageway,” Cook said. “The United States will respond to any further threat to our ships and commercial traffic, as appropriate, and will continue to maintain our freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandeb, and elsewhere around the world.”

While propaganda frequently blames the Saudi-led coalition for strikes on civilians, including innocent fishermen, some destroyed boats were actually involved in attacks on coalition warships maintaining a blockade of the Yemeni coast.

Tantas décadas y miles de millones de dolares invertidos en los programas de defensa aérea de la US Navy y cuando por fin se la pone a prueba no se cuela ningún dato importante sobre la performance de esos sistemas en combate real.
