El ritmo de operaciones, hace que el mantenimiento sea un 500% superior al de paz en Fort Hood.
Las fases de mantenimiento se hacen tras 10, 50, 250 y 500 horas.
Esta última (500 horas) implica desmontar el aparato y revisar pieza a pieza.
=> 25 días para un Blackhawk
=> 8 para un Apache (sí, es contraintuitivo)
Normalmente, en mantenimiento 3 Blackhawk (de 37 en total) y 5 Apache (de 38 en total).

"Each of them are potential show-stoppers," said one source, who asked for anonymity.
"The vulnerability depends on the frequency and the strength of the signal. You have the potential of losing your instruments and not knowing where you are, and having to take visual cues from outside your aircraft to get down safely."
